AI Fact Checking Guide

Algorithmic truth verification is an arms race against synthetic media generation. At TruthLens, our architecture processes claims through multiple distinct engines.

First, semantic extraction isolates the core claim from rhetorical framing. 'The corrupt mayor stole $5M' becomes 'Mayor stole $5M'. This claim is vectorized and queried against a vector database of 10M+ known facts from verified AP, Reuters, and academic sources.

Second, confidence scoring weights the results based on the credibility of the corroborating sources. A match from a peer-reviewed journal carries a 0.95 multiplier, while a blog match carries 0.4. The final output is mathematically derived, not guessed.
